Welcome

student working

The Web Development Club is a student organization that creates web sites. The club has created web sites for a number of different groups, from businesses to other student organization to instructor web sites.

Becoming a member is open to any Hawkeye Community College student. You don't have to be in the Web Program to be a member, but all current members are in the Web Design and Development Program. We encourage interested people to at least attended a meeting and think about joining the club. We are always looking for new members.

The club meets twice a week. Once on Thursday, and then again on Friday. Both times we meet are at 12:00p.m. Thursdays are our meeting days, where we talk about what projects that still need to be worked on and what upcoming projects we are going to have. Fridays we get together for our work days. We work on our projects to get them completed and work on keeping the projects up to date.

If you are intersted in joining our club or want you want our club to create a web site for you. Please contact us through our web form. We are always looking for sites to do, so we will be more than welcome to do one for you.

We invite you to visit the rest of our web site for more information on the club, events, members, and and recent projects that the club has finished.

Purpose

Our main purpose of our club is to give students additional experience creating projects for clients. All of our projects that are done through the club are volunteer work. The club helps students get additional portfolio pieces beyond only class work. An important thing in our club is to have fun and learn cooperative teamwork skills.

Please check back often because our club is always updating and doing new sites!
