Iron Web Designer
Contest
On November 14th, the Web Development Club held its first ever Iron Web Designer contest. Three two person teams competed, Pimp My Site, The Penguins, and Nerdy Geeky Revenge.
There were three phases of the event. A short prep phase started out the event where teams got their computer assignments, logged in, and received the content for the contest. The timer started and competitors had two hours to complete a web site with the provided content. They were allowed to use the internet and books for help. At the end of the two hours, teams loaded their sites to a network drive and went to present their site to the judges. In the presentations teams shared how they picked color schemes, inspiration for their layout, and other insights as to how their site came together.
And the winner is ....

Pimp My Site was the winning team of the contest for overall best website in 2 hours. Congratulations!! They each received a $25 gift card to Target for winning. |
